Hadleyville Cemetery Project
1. At the beginning of this project I would rate my knowledge as a 2 knowing very little at all.
2. I think my knowledge went up to a 3 after this project was completed, but I would not be comfortable teaching someone about this with out conducting the survey again.
3. Yes the hands on approach did help in learning what to do out in the field in a situation such as this.
I think that making sure that every group had a solid plan before starting the collection of the data would have helped with the making of the GIS map.
Field Activity #4: Creation of a Digital Elevation Surface
1. I would have rated my knowledge at around a 2 in the topic of sampling.
2. I think my knowledge would be around a 3.5, I would be able to teach someone about this but would like more time to hon in on the skill of sampling.
3. Yes the hands on approach absolutely helped with learning in this activity.
In the future if time permits have two different types of terrain of even have some of the students bring in rocks and things to maybe try of the different types of sampling.
Microclimate
1. I would say I was a 2 before this lab.
2. I would say that I am a 4 after and would feel confident teaching someone about this.
3. 5 the hands on approach always helps with using tools in the field.
Arc Collector
1. I would say 3 before this lab.
2. I think a 4, I am not perfect at it but think I could teach someone to use the programs that were used in the project
3. 5 having to correct a geodatabase to use and see where it went wrong is very helpful in using programs such as this again.
